About

My name is Kajsa and I spend a lot of time thinking about humans, the world beyond the human and especially the relationship between the two. I am a PhD candidate in Criminology at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where I do interdisciplinary research on fire, cities and human impact on the environment. I hold a MA in Criminology from the University of Melbourne and a BA in Sociology/Criminology from the University of Lund, Sweden.

I started this blog to share some thoughts that I have on the world that we live in. I attempt to challenge some of the taken-for-granted ideas of our humancentric world, looking at the solid, the normative, the living and dying. Most reflections are based on my life here in Melbourne but from time to time I mention my home country Sweden.
